Medical Fraternity: The Depth of American Medical Malpractice ought to offer a firsthand perspective on what it is like to fight medical negligence and the ways that it affects families. Pradeep K. Berry offers an educated and articulate account of Connies medical journey that brought a tragic demise to their family. Through this book, he shares the aftermath of Connies death, the struggles he went through to fight and give justice to his wifes passing.
Heartbreaking yet empowering, Pradeep K. Berrys Medical Fraternity: The Depth of American Medical Malpractice serves as a heartfelt reminder of the power of love and how it can stand the test of timecome hell or high water.
The whole medical treatment and negligence started after Connies breast cancer in August 2002 and December 2004; when she had an ear infection and was advised by her internal medicine doctor to see Dr. Douglas Merkel, a breast cancer oncologist who had treated Connie for breast cancer in 2002. Douglas Merkel was on vacation in December and meanwhile her doctor put her on antibodies for a month. After that, she saw Dr. Merkel who said he has no concern and nothing to worry. Connie was feeling better and went to see an ENT specialist, Dr. Jeffrey, who took the biopsy and found out that she had stage four Parotid gland cancer or Sylvia gland cancer. She was operated on March 31, 2005 and I ended my successful career as a banking executive and president of the crisis management at Turnaround Specialist Incorporated because I wanted to be with my wife for travel and treatment. Case was given to Dr. Bruce Brockstine, a head and neck oncologist in Evanston hospital in Evanston, USA. He was absolutely no good and ruined her case so I took her to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She saw Dr. Katrina Koe, a plumury doctor who ruled out that she needs palliative care. After we got back home from Mayo on November 7, 2014, we called Brochures and he decided that we would see Dr. Merkel, who was angry with the treatment and decided to take care of Conniewho gave her chemotherapy from December 2014 to January 9, 2015. But on February 7, 2015, the chemotherapy was postponed due to shingles and the last chemical was given on February 20, 2015 at 1:30 a.m., but she fell in the house while going to the bathroom. She was taken to the emergency room in Evanston Hospital and was kept for urinary tract infection. I noticed a DNR code which was changed to full code with the consent of Connie. On February 22, Connie was to be discharged from
hospital but was unable to; she was having her salad with Pradeep and she had a cardiac arrest. After Pradeep struggled, the staff performed CPR after 9 minutes. She was on life support until March 2, 2015 but on Friday, February 27, 2015, Pradeep Berry left her room for one hour to sign some papers. Behind Pradeeps back, Brochures and his team discussed with Connie and called her brother in Florida. After Pradeep arrived, he was told that he had no power and they would do whatever is best for his wife. No treatment after that when they took her tubes out, and she died after 10 hours in her bed on the fourth floor of the ICICU units of cardiac arrest in the Evanston hospital room.
Pradeep, after her body was taken care of, arrived in the morning of February 28, 2015. Connies brother called Pradeep, asking about Connie, her finances, and to not include his and his wifes name in a medical malpractice lawsuit.
Pradeep attempted filing a medical malpractice lawsuit against the medical doctor and hospital. However, no attorney took the case, unless he obtained a letter from another oncologist stating that there was a breach of trust in Connies medical treatment. No oncologist has agreed to Pradeeps requesthence, he was not able to file a lawsuit. No doctor gave Pradeep any letter, however, Connies elder brother was able to receive $400,000 inheritance from Connie after her death.
Pradeep could not win the case because the medical fraternity is immensely strong and 99.9% of the medical negligence and conspiracy cases go in favor of the medical doctors.
The FBI told Pradeep if he had called the police, they would have taken strong action against these medical doctors.
Discover the truth of Connies medical experience and Pradeeps perseverance to bring justice to a wrongful death. Grab a copy of the book on Authors Press, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other booksellers.
