During her nearly two-year tenure, she developed critical care skills in a demanding environment, laying a strong foundation for her future roles.
In January 2000, Tonia expanded her horizons as a Travel ICU RN with Medical Express, traveling across various hospitals for over eight years. Her experience in different settings showcased her adaptability and deep knowledge of intensive care. Concurrently, Tonia worked as a Per Diem ICU RN at UCLA Medical Center from December 2006 to April 2008, gaining exposure in diverse areas including Operating Rooms, ICU, Burn Care Unit, and Recovery Room.
Her journey continued at UCI Medical Center, where she served in the ICU Float Pool from April 2008 to March 2009, before taking on roles with ATC Healthcare Services and 24-Hour Medical Staffing Services. In August 2015, Tonia briefly transitioned into aesthetic healthcare, working alongside renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Boris Ackerman before joining Hoag Hospital in November of the same year as an ICU Float Pool RN.
Her leadership abilities were recognized when she became the Relief House Supervisor (Nights) at Hoag from June 2016 to September 2018. Since then, Tonia has taken on the role of Administrative Nursing Supervisor, where she oversees hospital operations and maintains high standards of care across multiple departments.
